Chester
Chester is only 1/2 an Hour drive on the A55 from the Beaches Hotel, Public Transport is readily available from the Beaches Hotel to Chester.
Chester City has an acient Roman wall which boasts a 2.2 mile stroll, the streets are bursting full of 21st Century Boutiques & Stores in a Medieval Historic setting, the tranquil River Dee gives you a taste of what the city has to offer.
Chester city has lots of chic boutiques along medieval two-tiered rows with balconies along the top tier. Chester Race Course is a must see. The oldest racecourse in Britain, once the site of a Roman Harbour, is unique as the Horses run anticlockwise.

Chester is also the only place in Britain to retain the historic tradition of regular midday proclamations from a fixed point. The Town Crier proclamations are made at 12 noon at the Cross in the City Centre, Tuesdays to Sundays, from May 1st to August 31st.
