The Coast of North Wales has a great choice of activities, adventures, day trips and experiences for all ages.

We have listed some of our favourites places and activities visit but there are too many to list so just ask if you don't see your favourite and we'll find it for you!

SeaQuarium Rhyl

SeaQuarium Rhyl has an open seafront location and sits on the beautiful North Wales coastline. Featuring species from around the world on show in 9 different zones, plus our amazing outdoor Sea Lion Cove where you can meet our delightful harbour seals. This state of the art exhibit gives you a fantastic underwater view of our seals in their 33,000 gallon pool.

Geronimos Adventure Playzone

The most famous Play Area in North Wales, Geronimo's Adventure Playzone hosts the biggest, baddest slide you'll find - 25 foot drop slide, sending you orbital at super fast speeds!!

With three floors of fun filled challenges, there's loads to do, come down now and put yourself to the test!!
After our recent refurbishment the Adventure Playzone now also hosts some new exciting features, including: 
* A set of Ball Cannons
* Junior Assault Course also up on level two 
* New Vertical Rollers
* Climbing Up and Overs and many more

Zip World Velocity

The Nearest Thing To Flying 

Zip World Velocity at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda, is the fastest zip line in the world and the longest in Europe. This adventure takes you on the Little Zipper to build your confidence before you journey up the quarry on our famous red trucks. Take in the stunning views from the Big Top of Velocity, out towards Anglesey with views of the Isle of Man on a clear day. You will then descend down the Big Zipper over the quarry lake often reaching speeds well in excess of 100mph.
Our new Adventure Terminal is now open, where our new check in and kit up areas are located, featuring spectacular views over the quarry lake. Your loved ones can grab a coffee or something to eat at our new Blondin Restaurant and watch you fly over head, or you could grab something to eat before or after your adventure.

Zip World Tree Hoppers

An Amazing Zip Line and Adventure Course for Little Adventurers 

For ages 5 to 12 years, a mini adventurer's dream! Test abilities on the Green Course then step up to the challenge on the Red Course if they want!
Participants are free to explore Tree Hoppers at their own pace and usually take around 30 - 45 mins to complete the course.
Elements include the tree hoppers bridge, zip bridge, walking the plank, balance beam, hanging logs, French hammock bridge, tyre tops, 'match sticks', cargo net, log bridge, organ pipes, burma bridge, multi vine, logs in a line, 'islands in the sky', postman's walk', multi vine & moving vine!
Fun Facts:
The highest point on the Green Course is 7 metres high 
The longest zip line is on the Red Course and is 20 metres long 

Zip World Cavern - THE GREATEST UNDERGROUND ADVENTURE

Zip World Caverns is a remarkable, uniquely exhilarating and atmospheric underground adventure that has been in accessible for nearly 200 years. It is the ultimate all weather adventure. 
After being kitted up, you will complete a training course using the specialised lanyard safety system before setting off on the main course. Our Team is always on hand to assist any nervous adventurers. 
You will take an epic journey through the underground caverns on zip lines, rope bridges, via ferrata and tunnels.
Don't want your experience to end? Then turn right and put your nerves to the ultimate test with the NEW caverns ending!!

Zip World Titans

THE FIRST 4 PERSON ZIP LINE IN EUROPE - TAKE ON TITAN 

The ultimate group zipping experience, Titan is currently the largest zip zone in Europe. Zipping in a seated position, you are afforded stunning views over Blaenau Ffestiniog, North Wales, lets you play, slide, roll, jump and bounce from net to net in a cavern the size of a cathedral.
Following a massive refurbishment in 2016, the Bounce Below experience now offers four new industrial slides, the height of two double decker buses and six new levels of bouncing fun, giving underground 400 additional square metres to explore. 
Visitors enter a network of enormous caverns hidden underground, once home to a working Victorian mine, and now brought back to life as the only subterranean playground of its kind, offering a unique adventure in a beautiful and historic location.

Zip World Fforest Coaster

WEAVE, DART AND SPEED THROUGH THE TREES

The only Alpine Coaster of it's kind in the UK, the Zip World Fforest Coaster is now open. Fun for all the family with this thrilling new adventure.
The Fforest Coaster is based on the traditional toboggan but runs on rails, which offers an all year, all weather experience. Start your journey in the heart of the woodland, taking your sledge on your own or in pairs, and travel on the uplift through the trees. You will then fly through the forest at exhilarating speeds!
Pre-booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment. 

Bodnant Gardens

Bodnant Gardens is also less than an Hour away from the Beaches Hotel near Colwyn Bay, Conwy. Bodnant Gardens is a place of beauty, peace and tranquility. Once inspired by the gardens the Bodnant Plant and Gift Centre stocks plenty to help you recrate your own haven while the Bodnant Art & Craft Studios will inspire you afresh.

Llangollen Wharf

The Horse Drawn Boat Centre set by the beautiful Llangollen canal. Experience the pleasure of a horse drawn boat trip which lasts 45 minutes also Motorised cruises are availiable the 2 hour trip includes a one-way crossing of the world famous Pontcyslite Aqueduct.

Llangollen is a 45 minute drive from the Beaches and you can go the beautiful scenic route through the Horseshoe Pass.

White Water Rafting, Kayaking & Canyoning

North Wales is renowned for outdoor activities and a great escape to free the mind & relax. There is a superb range of exciting activities available that can be enjoyed by everyone, no previous experience required. Horses and Pony Riding

Bridlewood has a fantasitc range of activities for both experienced and novice riders including their very popular Own A Pony days which is ideal for holiday makers. Aviation Museum

Location Caernarfon Airport for an exciting day out for the whole family. Situated on an active General Aviation airfield, next to the lovely beach of Dinas Dinlle, with an Aviation museum which includes Hawker Sea Hawk and Javelin to name a few, flying club and cafe.

A Majesestic Mountain Top Adventure

Snowdon Mountain Railway, dominates the glorious, ancient landscape of North Wales with truly magnificent views to take your breath away.

Llechwedd Slate Caverns under ground tours are available at Llechwedd Slate Caverns in Blaenau Ffestiniog, just over an hour away from the Beaches Hotel.

Sygun Copper Mine is both a spectacular natural environment and a museum of industrial heritage

Blue Ocean Activities & Adventure provide Activity Weekends in Wales for all types of groups.
