The Coast of North Wales has a great choice of activities, adventures, day trips and experiences for all ages.

We have listed some of our favourites places and activities visit but there are too many to list so just ask if you don't see your favourite and we'll find it for you!

52 Things to do in North Wales. This is definitely a challenge that should be taken on! There are so many stunningly beautiful places surrounding The Beaches Hotel, so what better place to have as your base.

SeaQuarium Rhyl

SeaQuarium Rhyl has an open seafront location and sits on the beautiful North Wales coastline. Featuring species from around the world on show in 9 different zones, plus our amazing outdoor Sea Lion Cove where you can meet our delightful harbour seals. This state of the art exhibit gives you a fantastic underwater view of our seals in their 33,000 gallon pool.

Geronimos Adventure Playzone

The most famous Play Area in North Wales, Geronimo's Adventure Playzone hosts the biggest, baddest slide you'll find - 25 foot drop slide, sending you orbital at super fast speeds!!

With three floors of fun filled challenges, there's loads to do, come down now and put yourself to the test!!
After our recent refurbishment the Adventure Playzone now also hosts some new exciting features, including: 
* A set of Ball Cannons
* Junior Assault Course also up on level two 
* New Vertical Rollers
* Climbing Up and Overs and many more 

Chester Zoo

Where do we start? With our 15,000 animals, in 125 acres if award - winning zoological gardens? With the 1.9 million people who come to visit every year? Or with the many conservation projects we're involved with, at home and abroad?

Zip World - Unique Exhilarating Adventures

Zip World is spread out over 3 different locations in North Wales - Zip World Slate Caverns Ffestiniog, Zip World Penrhyn Quarry near Bangor and Zip World Forrest.
There is something for all ages across the different parks from underground trampolines to the Zip World Velocity where you will soar across the sky!
This is the nearest you will get to skydiving without actually jumping out of a plane!

Criccieth Castle

An amazing history and beautiful views, Criccieth Castle was originally built by Llywelyn the Great with Edward I taking over power around 50 years later.

Criccieth is approximately an hour and a half drive away but a stunningly picturesque journey.

SC2 Rhyl

This exciting complex, opening in April 2019, is the place to be in 2019!

Combining an Indoor Waterpark, an outdoor Splashpad and the one and only Tag-Active Arena in Wales - The SC2 Centre has an array of activities for you and your family.
There are also 3 onsite cafes/bars where you can refuel and recharge!

Bodnant Gardens

Bodnant Gardens is also less than an Hour away from the Beaches Hotel near Colwyn Bay, Conwy. Bodnant Gardens is a place of beauty, peace and tranquility. Once inspired by the gardens the Bodnant Plant and Gift Centre stocks plenty to help you recrate your own haven while the Bodnant Art & Craft Studios will inspire you afresh.

Location: 8 miles south of Llandudno and colwyn Bay, just off A470, signposted from the A55, exit at junction 19.

Conwy Castle

Often described as Kind Edward I most "magnificent" Welsh castle, Conwy Castle stands majestically with breathtaking views of the sea and mountains.

Conwy is only a 30 minute drive away from the hotel and such a pretty little town  highly recommended by us all at The Beaches Hotel!

Llangollen Wharf

The Horse Drawn Boat Centre set by the beautiful Llangollen canal. Experience the pleasure of a horse drawn boat trip which lasts 45 minutes also Motorised cruises are availiable the 2 hour trip includes a one-way crossing of the world famous Pontcyslite Aqueduct.

Llangollen is approximately an hours drive from The Beaches Hotel and you can go the beautiful scenic route through the Horseshoe Pass.

Rhuddlan Castle

Sitting on the banks of the River Clwyd, Rhuddlan Castle was King Edward I chosen domain for many bloodshed battles!
Edwards muscle power triumphed for many years, he even diverted the River Clwyd for 2 miles so he could have easy access to the sea and a deep channel for his ships!

Only a short drive (approx. 15 minutes) from the hotel, it is a highly recommended visit.

Caernarfon Castle

Notably remembered as the birth of the English Prince of Wales in 1284 amongst many other historic events, Caernarfon Castle is an intimidating fortress used by Kind Edward I which has gained World Heritage status!

Caernarfon is an hours drive from the hotel and a scenic one at that.

Isle of Anglesey

The picturesque Isle of Anglesey is a must see when you are in North Wales.

Only approximately an hours drive from The Beaches Hotel, Anglesey will transport you to beaches that resemble those in the Mediteranean!
There are a number of attractions on this beautiful Island, from Beaumaris Castle which was the last castle built under Edward I to Lligwy Beach which has six Blue Flags!

A Majesestic Mountain Top Adventure

Snowdon Mountain Railway, dominates the glorious, ancient landscape of North Wales with truly magnificent views to take your breath away.

Your train leaves Llanberis Station and finishes at the summit where the views from the train up to the summit are breathtaking.
