Beginning and End Sculpture

Known locally as the ‘Polo Mint’, the ‘Beginning and End / Dechrau a Diwedd’ sculpture, stands proudly at 6 meters tall on Prestatyn Central Beach, only a short distance from The Beaches Hotel and Spa.

Beginning and End Sculpture

It marks the end of the Offa’s Dyke National Walking Trail but perhaps it also marks the beginning for many who will give this walk a try this year. Installed in 2009, the obelisk like sculpture is made of mirror finish stainless steel and locally quarried Welsh limestone and was designed by Craig and Mary Matthews.

Exit The Beaches Hotel and Spa by the Promenade Bar door and turn left, continue down the prom until you see the sculpture ahead of the Nova Centre.
